Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Cusco – Santa María (Biking & Rafting)

06:30 AM – We will pick you up directly from your hotel in Cusco. From there, we will drive for approximately 1.5 hours through the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas until we reach the town of Ollantaytambo.

Stop in Ollantaytambo: We will take a 30-minute break here, giving you time to enjoy a delicious breakfast.

The Adventure Begins: We will continue our drive for another hour to Abra Málaga, the highest point of our route ($4,360\text{ m}$ / $14,304\text{ ft}$). Here, we will gear up and begin an exhilarating 2.5-hour downhill bike ride. You will descend from the high Andes into the lush high jungle, ending at an altitude of $1,800\text{ m}$ ($5,905\text{ ft}$).

Afternoon Activities: After the biking tour, we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch in the town of Santa María. Next, we will head out for a thrilling rafting session (approximately 2 hours), which is fully included in your tour.

Evening: After rafting, we will travel to the town of Santa Teresa, where we will spend our first night.

Optional: You can relax and soothe your muscles at the Cocalmayo Hot Springs this evening.

07:00 AM – We will start the day with breakfast. Afterward, we will head over to the Zipline activity. This 2-hour experience features 4 cables, with the longest stretching over 1 kilometer!

The Trek: Once the zipline adventure concludes, we will begin a scenic 3-hour hike along the train tracks. This is a flat, pleasant trail that offers distant, majestic views of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu mountains.

Evening: The hike ends in the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), where we will spend our second night.

Early Morning: We will start very early from Aguas Calientes to head up to the Wonder of the World, Machu Picchu. You have two options to get to the main entrance:

  1. By Bus: Round-trip shuttle bus ($24\text{ USD}$ extra).
  2. By Foot: A challenging, uphill hike of approximately 1.5 hours.


The Guided Tour:
Once inside Machu Picchu, an expert professional guide will lead you on a 2.5-hour tour, sharing the fascinating history of this majestic ancient citadel. After the guided tour, you are free to explore at your own pace—there is no time limit to stay inside during your designated shift.

Return to Cusco: After your visit, you will descend back to Aguas Calientes to board the return train to Cusco.

Tour End Location: Plaza de Armas (Cusco Main Square).
